Electronic Commerce and Department of Information Technology (MOIT) said, after the date 01/01/2014 individuals, businesses operating in the field of electronic commerce (e-commerce) in the forms of e-commerce websites selling goods, e-commerce sites deliver service and other types of sites by the Ministry of Industry and trade regulations will be fined heavily if online sales are not registered under the provisions of Decree 185/2013 / ND-CP on sanctions administration of commercial activities, production, trade in counterfeit goods, prohibited goods and to protect the interests of consumers.
Specifically, the violations of regulations on setting up the website, a fine of 5 to 20 million VND for acts establishing e-commerce websites without informing the state authorities having jurisdiction under the regulations; not announced amendments and supplements when there is a change of information related to e-commerce website service provider is registered.
The fine will be between 20 and 30 million for acts established provider of e-commerce sites without registration confirmation as prescribed; Transferee service provider of e-commerce sites without re-registration; E-commerce service providers not right with registration documents; or fraud, providing false information when registering sites; Falsifying registration information on e-commerce service provider website.
